How did the name Mexico come about?

Mexico, a unique country that will enchant you with its ancient history and that will captivate you with its beautiful pyramids, squares, colors, colonial houses with their incredible courtyards, the smell of chili peppers and the taste of corn fritters. México, or according to the language of the ancient Aztecs metz-tli=moon, xic-tli=navel or center and co=location... or all together sounding approximately like México, so in a very loose translation from the Nahuatl language, like the navel of the world, or middle of the moon...so welcome to the land that the ancient aztecs called the navel of the world...though nowadays they say mexico is too close to the usa and too far from god...so what The United States of Mexico will definitely win you over.

I had the opportunity to be in one of the largest cities of our planet during the celebration of All Saints' Day. Holidays in our country are perhaps associated with a kind of sadness, stopping in time, humility... in Mexico, despite being holidays of respect and humility, are held in a very celebratory style. Every square lights up with colors and flowers and especially the smell of chocolate skeletons and which young and old Mexicans buy and enjoy consuming while viewing the ofrendas. The center of the square is reserved for ofrendas...in a very loose translation, as gifts that are given to the deceased so that they will be better in the next world...for example, a cake is baked that the deceased liked and brought there, or other goodies, different colored clippings, photos, flowers, flowers, chocolate skeletons, skulls, and everything possible...it is piled up as if on steps, steps, and this ensures that everything is nicely transparent and of course decorated...with the color of the day there are small yellow flowers that spread their fragrance from afar and thus let everyone know where the pyramidal is located... and when we imagine this in one of the largest cities in the world, where the main Zócalo square with an area of approximately 43700 square meters will be filled with people... even Moctezuma himself, one of the last Aztec rulers, would be turning in his grave at the ingenuity of today's Mexicans, who visit one of the largest cathedrals of Mesoamerica much more these days. And immediately after her visit, in the Zócal itself, they will be smoked, perhaps by Moctezuma's great-great-great-grandsons, who practice old, but supposedly proven rituals of soul purification. That is very special and unique about Mexicans. The vast majority of the population are Catholics, but nevertheless, they worship a also their ancient gods, who have a very important place in their daily life. The answer I got to this seemingly incompatible combination was: we don't worship religion, we live in it.

And so these days, many more Mexicans visit the graves of their loved ones, where they bring them gifts, but mainly food (often freed from bad influences by the local Indian shamans), which then together as a family they eat together as if in a family circle... such a region, such a manner. This is also worth Mexico to see, for its unique way coexistence and harmony between the ancients even before the Columbian times and by new Spanish customs brought from distant Europe.
