The metropolis of Eastern Europe, Košice, was the European capital of culture in 2013. The historic center of the city is the largest urban monument reserve in Slovakia (declared in 1983). Of all the Slovak heritage reserves, it also records the largest number of heritage-protected buildings, with a total of 501. The heart of the city is crossed by a lenticular square - Hlavná ulica with a length of 1,200 meters. The dominant feature is the Church of St. Elizabeth, theater, Urban tower, several historical buildings and underground. In the evening, tourists are attracted not only by many restaurants and events, but also by a musical fountain. In the East Slovak Museum, one of the most popular exhibits is the tour of the Košice gold treasure. On the way back, we will stop at the Slovak Paradise National Park with its beautiful gorges and the Hornád River.
