The mysterious Oponice castle rose like a phoenix from the ashes. A Renaissance manor originally from the 16th century was built from the ruins. It is surrounded by a beautiful English park with many foreign trees. The castle houses unique collections and, above all, the historical library of the noble Apponyi family (Cultural monument of the year 2010), which contains almost 17,300 rare baroque books. The village also has a unique museum and the ruins of Oponice Castle. After the tour, time for coffee and dessert.
