2-day trip Krakow + Wieliczka Salt Mine (UNESCO) + Oswiecim
In the south of Poland, we will visit the salt mines in Wieliczka (UNESCO). An almost 4-hour walk underground in the salt world is like visiting a fairy tale kingdom. From here we will go to Krakow, the former city of the Polish kings. At Wawel Castle, it is possible to visit the royal quarters with an incredible collection of tapestries, paintings and historical furniture. There is also a cathedral with the sarcophagi of important Polish kings and queens. From there we will move to the main square. The dominant feature is the market place - a Renaissance building with a city gallery and many shops with souvenirs and amber. Opposite is the Mariacki Church with the famous troubadour, who announces himself from the tower. Next, we will walk to the Florianska Gate and the Barbican, where there are many paintings for sale. Around the theater we will return to the main square and the university. The next morning we will visit the Jewish ghetto with synagogues - Kazimierz. This is followed by a break for lunch, after which we will go to historical places connected with the 2nd World War - Auschwitz (possibility to visit the exposition of the concentration camp).
