However, jaw growth can occur faster. To protect you from situations where aligners do not need to be deployed for such growth, we also include a revision in each package, i.e. we create a new virtual treatment plan for free and make aligners for free in case they don't fit (don't fit).

Children's aligners are intended for children from 6 to 12 years old. The sphere of their use is wider than the sphere of plates - they are used not only for extension, but also for other movements. OrthoAlight Kinder is also more comfortable to wear. They don't have activators because they don't allow for as much movement as adult aligners. They are used only in exceptional cases, if the aligners are not placed firmly on the teeth (they fall out). Perfectly straight teeth are not necessary when using OrthoAlight Kinder, because they determine the vector for proper tooth growth. Their goal is to create conditions for proper teeth cutting, timely correction of these disorders, which cannot be self-regulated.

Specificity of aligners

Since aligners are a separate product, diagnosis is essential. For this purpose, the doctor takes impressions, photographs and also performs X-ray images of the teeth.

Children's aligners are made in several steps:

The first step (upper and lower jaw) is 3 aligners, each one is worn for 10 days, so this step is designed for 1 month. All three aligners in one step are made according to one model and differ only in thickness.

The first aligner should wobble the tooth, its thickness is 0.5 mm. The second aligner - 0.65 mm - moves the tooth. The third - 0.75 mm - consolidates the achieved result. The volume of movements on children's aligners is 2 times greater, because one step is designed for a longer period of time than with aligners for adults.

From the point of view of use, plastic ones are better. They are also easier to adjust. If necessary, you can trim or transform the sides. The material for impressions is the same as for adults - A-silicone. The removal technique is traditional, two-phase - first the base layer is applied and then the corrective one, or they can be applied simultaneously. In both cases there are pluses and minuses. Since a child at the age of 8-9 still has many milk teeth and their size is smaller than that of permanent teeth, the doctor is advised to make an impression so deep that the material overlaps the mucosa by 3-4 mm. The correction mass should be evenly distributed along the border of the basic impression. The requirements are the same as when taking impressions for aligners for adults. However, it is necessary to push away from 4 mm of the vestibular surface and palate, as they will be trimmed higher than in adults.
