Description of the coin
On the national side of the commemorative euro coin, the Thessaloniki brothers Konstantin and Methodius are depicted with a symbolic double cross emerging from the trident, which is also a bishop's crutch, which expresses the union of the symbol of statehood and the symbol of Christianity and accentuates the meaning of the mission of both brothers, which contributed to ensuring the full sovereignty and legitimacy of Great Moravia - the oldest Slavic state in Central Europe. Constantine holds a book in his hands, which represents education and faith, Methodius is depicted with a church as a symbol of faith and the church. In the lower part of the commemorative euro coin, in the description of the inner circle from left to right, there is the name of the country "SLOVAKIA" and behind it the dates "863" and "2013" are separated from each other by graphic marks. In the upper part of the commemorative euro coin, in the description of the inner circle, from left to right, there are the inscriptions "KONSTANTÍN" and "METOD". Stylized initials of the author of the design of the national side of the commemorative euro coin Mgr. art. Miroslava Hrica, ArtD. "mh" are on the left side of the commemorative euro coin and the mark of Mincovne Kremnica, a state enterprise, consisting of the abbreviation "MK" placed between two stamps, is on its right side. At the edge of the commemorative euro coin, there are twelve stars of the European Union placed in a circle.
