Silver collector coin worth 10 euros Juraj Turzo - 400th anniversary of death
Juraj Turzo (2 September 1567 – 24 December 1616), politician, diplomat, anti-Turkish fighter, scholar, cultural and religious patron, was one of the most influential magnates of Hungary turn of the 16th and 17th centuries. He was the hereditary steward of the Orava throne and the owner of the Orava, Lietava, Bytčianske and Tokaj estates. He participated in numerous anti-Turkish expeditions, diplomatic negotiations and was an adviser to Emperor Rudolf II. In 1609, he was elected palatine, which was the highest-ranking secular dignitary in the Kingdom of Hungary. Throughout his life, he was involved in spreading education and supporting the evangelical faith. In his residential town of Bytči, he completed the reconstruction of the mansion, built the Marriage Palace, a church, laid out the town and financed a school that reached an extraordinary level. He also supported the publishing of books and various publications. Under his auspices, the Žilina Synod took place in 1610, which established the foundations of the Evangelical Church in Upper Hungary.

The Kremnica MK Mint mark is in the left part of the coin field. Below it are the stylized initials of the name and surname of the author of the design of the coin Mgr. art. Peter Valach PV.

The reverse side of the coin shows a portrait of Juraj Turz, which is complemented by elements from his historical coat of arms in the right part of the coin field. Near the edge of the coin, the name and surname JURAJ TURZO is in the description. Juraj Turz's birth year is 1567 under his name and his death year is 1616 under his surname. The marking of the nominal value of the 10 EURO coin is in two lines in the lower left part of the coin field.
