Silver collector coin worth 25 euros Slovak Republic - 25th anniversary

The democratic revolution in November 1989 ended the rule of the communist regime in Czechoslovakia and enabled socio-economic reforms. It also brought a solution to the state legal arrangement, which resulted in an agreement on the division of the state due to the different opinions of the decisive political forces in Slovakia and the Czech Republic. On January 1, 1993, the independent Slovak Republic was established, which completed the process of constituting the Slovaks as a modern nation and definitively ended the process of their national emancipation. The new republic signed up to the independent democratic states and showed the will to develop cooperation with them. Already in the year of its establishment, it became a member of the United Nations, the Council of Europe and signed an agreement on association with the European Communities. It later became a member of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (2000), a member of the European Union (2004) and a member country of the Eurozone (2009). Currently, the Slovak Republic is one of the most dynamically developing countries in Europe.

Obverse:

The Czechoslovak flag is shown on the obverse of the coin, which changes to the Slovak flag in an arc-shaped composition, which symbolically expresses the establishment of the Slovak Republic. Bratislava Castle is above the Slovak flag. In the lower part of the arch, the Charles Bridge and Kriváň Hill are shown as symbols of Czechoslovakia. Inside the arch, there is an indication of the nominal value of the 25 EURO coin in two lines. At the bottom edge of the coin, the name of the state SLOVAKIA is in the description, followed by the year 2018.

Reverse side:

The reverse side of the coin shows the map of the Slovak Republic, the symbolic gateway to the European Union and the euro symbol with part of the stars of the European Union, which expresses the integration of the Slovak Republic into the European Union and the eurozone. In the lower part of the coin field, there is an inscription 25 YEARS OF THE SLOVAK REPUBLIC in the description. The year of establishment of the Slovak Republic 1/1/1993 is under the map of the Slovak Republic. Above it are placed the Kremnica MK Mint mark and the stylized initials of the author of the coin design, Pavel Károly PK.
